Ile Ogbe Di Monthly Worship Service
Date: Last Sunday of Each Month Time: 10:00 AM EST Location: Via Zoom
Service Overview:
Join us at Ile Ogbe Di for our monthly worship service, a sacred time dedicated to the spiritual teachings and practices of Ifa. This gathering offers an opportunity for spiritual growth, learning, and community building within the rich traditions of Ifa.
Agenda:
- Opening Ritual: We begin with traditional Ifa prayers and offerings to invite the blessings of the Orisa'a and honor our ancestors. This ritual sets a sacred space for our communal gathering.
- Odu of the Month: We explore a specific Odu from the holy Corpus of Ifa each month. The Odu, a cornerstone of Ifa divination, imparts wisdom and guidance reflective of the profound Yoruba spiritual traditions.
- Discussion on the Tenets of the Odu: Our spiritual leader will lead an insightful session on the selected Odu, discussing its teachings, symbols, and historical context. We aim to deepen our collective understanding of the Odu and its relevance to contemporary life.
- Reflection and Meditation: Following the discussion, we will have a period of reflection and meditation, allowing attendees to internalize the teachings and seek personal enlightenment.
- Question and Answer Session: This segment is an open forum for attendees to engage in a lively exchange of ideas, questions, and personal reflections related to the teachings of the Odu.
- Closing Ceremony: The service concludes with a closing ritual, expressing gratitude to the Orisas and ancestors and seeking their continued guidance and blessings.
Additional Notes:
- Participants are encouraged to bring offerings for the rituals.
- Attire should be respectful of our traditional practices.
- Everyone is welcome, irrespective of their prior knowledge or experience with Ifa.
We eagerly anticipate a spiritually enriching experience as we delve into the sacred wisdom of Ifa at Ile Ogbe Di.
